No. Dental assistants are not included among the paramedical professions accredited by the Federal Public Service for Public Health: there is no accreditation, no license, and no legal requirement for continuing education. This is the key difference from the dental hygienist, a profession that has been regulated since the Royal Decree of March 28, 2018, which requires a bachelor’s degree in oral health care, a Community accreditation, and a federal license.
