Job Description:
The dentist reports directly to the Medical Director.
Under the supervision of the department head and the Medical Director, the dentist provides preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment for oral and dental conditions. He or she also contributes to the comprehensive care of patients within the institution.
In a 4-chair department, currently staffed by 6 general dentists and 1 maxillofacial surgeon, appointment scheduling is handled by the department’s assistants, and the schedule is arranged in consultation with you. No hospital on-call duty. Opportunity to perform procedures under general anesthesia.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct follow-up examinations, make diagnoses, and develop oral health treatment plans
• Conduct consultations prior to drug therapy or radiation therapy, and ensure effective coordination with other hospital departments
• Ensure the traceability of care in the patient’s medical record
• Provide scheduled and/or emergency care for patients
• Order additional tests and/or refer patients as needed
• Supervise and collaborate with dental hygienists and dental assistants
• Contribute to the quality of care and the continuous improvement of practices
