The Endocrinology Department is looking for a head of the diabetes education team.

This is a permanent position at 85%–100%.

How do you push boundaries?
As head of the diabetes educator team, you will take on a coordinating and content-focused role within the Endocrinology Department. In this role, the emphasis is on coaching, connecting, and empowering diabetes educators, each of whom is an expert in their field.

You will coordinate and lead the team of diabetes educators and logistical staff in both content and organizational matters, while respecting everyone’s expertise and professional autonomy.
You coach diabetes educators as subject-matter experts and support their professional development, collaboration, and role clarification within the team and the broader healthcare context.
You play an active role in developing and implementing optimizations and changes. You critically evaluate existing work processes and take the initiative to organize them in a more efficient, high-quality, and future-oriented manner.
You create a work environment in which experts can make the most of their knowledge, further develop it, and share it with one another.
You are responsible for the operational functioning of the endocrinology consultation service and ensure smooth organization and coordination within the team.
You ensure and continue to build high-quality, consistent, and patient-centered diabetes care.
You promote and strengthen the professional expertise of your team members and support them in translating their expertise into concrete care practices.
You monitor the operational management of the department, working closely with the Chief of Medical Services, staff members, and the nursing manager.
You play a pivotal role in collaboration with other disciplines and departments. Team meetings, coordination, and care planning are key elements of your daily work.
You manage the team’s personnel and material resources efficiently and effectively.
In consultation with the business manager, you are responsible for monitoring and adjusting the financial management of contracted supplies to ensure financial health.
You serve as the liaison between the educator team and the nurses in the Endocrinology Inpatient and Outpatient Departments.
You work closely with the staff members, CSM, dietitians, and the research team of the Endocrinology Department.

What qualifications do you need?
You hold one of the following degrees: a bachelor’s degree in nursing or a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics. A master’s degree is a plus.
You hold a postgraduate certificate in diabetes education, or are willing to complete this training in the near future.
You possess strong leadership qualities, both in clinical practice and in organizational management. You employ a coaching leadership style, with respect for autonomy and professional responsibility.
You have experience coaching and mentoring healthcare professionals with strong subject-matter expertise. You know how to motivate, support, and encourage employees to embrace innovation and change.
You can constructively bridge differences in expertise, vision, and approach within a team.
You communicate fluently and effectively with patients, colleagues, and other disciplines. You have excellent interpersonal skills, both with colleagues and with patients.
You work in a systematic and meticulous manner and can set priorities.
You remain calm and decisive in a dynamic, multidisciplinary setting.
You are resilient under stress and flexible, with an open attitude toward new insights, organizational structures, and care models.
You have a clean criminal record (Form 596-2).
