Your role within our institution:
You will be integrated into general hospitals (internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics, and emergency care) with 300 to 400 beds that are part of the Vivalia hospital network. Our hospitals cover all medical specialties (except cardiac surgery and care for extremely premature infants).
Work as an independent practitioner within a multidisciplinary team
Active participation in the Vivalia HOST project, to be shared among the two infectious disease specialists, the existing infection control specialists, and the microbiologists.
Active participation in the Vivalia GGA network.
Participation in infectious disease consultations, travel medicine (in collaboration with pediatricians), and HIV consultations.
Consultations within the hospital and at outpatient clinics.
Participation in ward rounds and internal medicine on-call duties.

To best carry out this assignment, we are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications: 
Doctor of Medicine degree and a valid license to practice medicine
Certification as an infectious disease specialist recognized in Belgium or currently in the process of being obtained
Excellent oral and written communication skills in French
Availability for multidisciplinary discussions
