Mission

Push boundaries as a social worker
Our social work department consists of about 70 employees. As a social worker, you’ll be part of the multidisciplinary team in the departments to which you’re assigned.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing psychosocial support to patients and their loved ones. In an increasingly complex society, you’ll pay close attention to each person’s capacity to cope. You help people navigate social services and seek care solutions tailored to individual needs. Collaboration with partners both within and outside the hospital is central to this role.

For the mobile team at the Gasthuisberg campus, we are currently seeking 3 new colleagues to start as soon as possible:
There are 2 positions with fixed-term contracts through the end of 2026, with the possibility of extension,
and 1 position with a permanent contract. For these positions, the work schedule ranges from 80% to 100%.

Desired Qualifications

How do you push boundaries?
You work within clinical services as part of a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers,
You are responsible for providing psychosocial support to patients and their families.
You assist patients and their families with administrative and social issues.
You liaise with external services and take on a cross-hospital role to ensure continuity of care and manage patient discharges.
You provide advice to medical and paramedical staff regarding specific social issues and problems.
You work primarily on weekdays and are willing to participate in the on-call rotation after completing the orientation phase.
You are able to perform your duties with a high degree of independence and work with great precision.
What do you need to qualify?

You hold a bachelor’s degree in social work or a bachelor’s degree in social nursing.
You preferably have work or internship experience in the healthcare sector.
You possess the necessary skills to work both independently and as part of a team.
You have excellent communication skills.
You work meticulously and can handle stress well.
You are open to new developments.
You have strong organizational skills and know how to set priorities.
You are assertive while maintaining a focus on diplomacy and integrity.
