Mission

Push the boundaries as a surgical nurse at our Day Surgery Center 3
With more than 50 high-tech operating rooms where over 53,000 surgical procedures are performed, the UZ Leuven operating complex is the largest in Belgium. The operating rooms are equipped with the latest technology and are organized into units based on different medical specialties.

In addition to the traditional operating complex, we also have rooms specifically designed for patients undergoing outpatient surgery.

Day Hospital 3 (Surgical Unit) on the Gasthuisberg campus is a unit with 8 treatment rooms for the departments of ophthalmology, dermatology, vascular surgery, orthopedics, and surgical oncology. Outpatient procedures are performed under local anesthesia. Operating hours at Day Hospital 3 are from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Due to the expansion of our activities and to strengthen our team, we have several permanent positions available at 75–100% FTE.
